On August 24, 2016 we held a work day on the property of two elderly owners who had requested our help, and on an adjacent greenbelt area. The Areas had not been cleaned in several years and posed a woldfire risk to the community.
The cleanup included raking pine needles, trimming tree limbs and removing bursh and wees. The material was hauled to a community burn area that will be burned this winter.
Twenty community members worked all morning and then were treated to a taco lunch prepared by our Community Service District's Administrative Manager and her two chilldren. It was a very productive effort.
