CPR and AEDs

PEFD  maintains all Zoll AED+Plus devices on all department vehicles.

Information on AEDs:

AEDs advise a shock only for ventricular fibrillation or another life-threatening condition called pulseless ventricular tachycardia. The shock can potentially stop an irregular heart beat (arrhythmia) and allow a normal rhythm to resume following sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). AEDs will not advise a shock if there is no activity.

We encourage our residents and visitors to get involved in CPR:

Hands-Only CPR
