Plumas Eureka Fire Department is a fully volunteer department. Fire department personnel are not staffed at the station.

Est. 1981, Plumas-Eureka Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency medical services (non-transport) to its residents and visitors. Our volunteers are also part of mutual aid with neighboring communities and counties, and can be called to fires elsewhere in the state.
PEFD utilizes Zolls AEDs and is trained in the NorCal EMS optional scope. For more information about how AEDs work, and what our optional scopes are, please contact Chief Munsen.
